Rules of Decorum
If you plan to attend a Board meeting for continuing education credit, please observe the following rules:

Prompt Arrival: Please arrange to be at the Board Meeting well before it is scheduled to begin. Late arrivals will not be allowed to sign the register of attendance and will not receive CE credit for attendance. No excuses will be tolerated nor will the Board allow an audience during the meeting to discuss such reasons for being tardy. Plan on being there before the meeting begins and you will be assured of receiving credit for your attendance.

Cell Phones: Cell phones are prohibited. If you carry a cell phone to the meeting, then it must be turned off, not just set to "vibrate" mode. If your cell phone rings and disrupts the Board meeting, you will be requested to leave and no continuing education credit will be allowed for your partial attendance.

Audience Conduct during the meeting: No “jeers or cheers." It is imperative that you only observe the proceedings and decline to provide outbursts or other shows of emotion while you are in the meeting. The purpose of the Board meeting is to permit the Board members to conduct official business of the Board. There is a great deal of work that is completed prior to presenting the case to the Board. What you will find, however, is that many important facts are discovered during the hearing process. Audience members are invited to observe only and to avoid actions that distract from the important decision making process that must occur.

The Board welcomes everyone who attends its meetings. Should you decide to attend, we thank you in advance for adhering to these rules. You will be required to sign the register upon arrival and to initial the book at the conclusion of the disciplinary portion of the meeting. The register will be maintained in the Board office for record purposes. No certificates of attendance will be issued.
