I forgot to include my check; can I mail it in without the application?

If you should omit the fee when you submit your application, the Board office will return your application to you. When you receive your returned application, you can resubmit it at that time with the appropriate fees.

I am in school; do I have to send my transcripts to you?

If you are attending school, please fill out the Letter of Good Standings and have the school send it to us. It must show your classification as a senior and your anticipated graduation date for your BS in the discipline of your major.

When do I send transcripts?

If you have graduate with your BS in Engineering, please have the school send us your final transcripts to the address on the Verification Education Release form. The BS transcripts must show graduation date and your award.

I have a transcript can I send it in?

No, it must come from the school you attended. Transcripts that we receive that are tamped “Issued to Student” or “ Student Pickup” will be considered invalid.

I have a Technology degree; can I apply for the examination?

No, you must of graduated or been enrolled before July 1, 1979, Chapter 471.013 (2). If you have a Masters Degree in Engineering that is from an EAC ABET accredited school, you can have your technology degree articulated by one of the evaluation companies on our online site www.fbpe.org. If you’re BS in engineering is not EAC ABET accredited, you may also contact the evaluation company to have your degree articulated.

Do I have to send the whole Laws & Rules Study guide in?

No, please just send in the answer sheet completed with your name clearly written so I can locate your file.

There are no testing sites, how do I get the one I want?

Please contact ELSES upon registration as to what site you prefer. Their site is www.els-exam-reg.org. They are your testing vendor and will provide you with information concerning the testing procedure, the initial registration process and administering the examination.

I have not received any information about my file, have you received it, or received any of my documents? What has happened?

Your application and documents are important to us. If you have sent your application by express mail, overnight mail, or any mail with tracking, please check with your postal courier company. If we have signed for it, it is here going through the channels to be processed. You can also check online at www.myfloridalicense.com to view an application. Please do not be alarm if you see two applications, it means that your application is complete and a board approval card has been sent out. If there is nothing is completed on the first application online, it means you are being processed. We will do everything to process you on time to register with ELSES.

I have not received my board approval card, what do I do?

First, make sure that your address did not change. If it has, immediately send an email to ppowell@fbpe.org with the correct information. If you have not received your board approval card 6 weeks before the schedule examination, please call at 850-521-0500 x26. There might be an issue or deficiency that needed corrected.

I have not received my scores, what do I do?

Please contact ELSES for scores at www.els-exam-reg.org. They are your testing vendor.

How do I get my Certification number?

Once you have passed your examination, if you have not already, have the school send in your final transcripts showing your degree and the date it was awarded. You should have it sent to FBPE, 2507 Callaway Road Suite 200, Tallahassee, Florida 32303. We will certify you within the week of receiving the transcripts. Certificates will be processed with 3 to 6 weeks. If you need to show proof of accomplishment and certification number, please go to www.myfloridalicense.com and download the information there for your employer.

I need my EI number because I am applying in another state for my EI/PE license. Can you give me my number?

Please go to applications and download the Verification of Registration. Please include all the information, make check payable to FBPE and we will process your paperwork and send it out.
